Welsh language standards (health sector) Regulations: Consultation – Summary of response
Résumé
The Welsh Government is preparing Welsh Language Standards (‘standards’) under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 (‘The Measure’) which give Welsh speakers enforceable rights to use the Welsh language. A consultation took place from 14 July to 14 October 2016 on the draft Regulations. A total of 88 responses were received. As part of the consultation meetings were held with the local health boards and the trusts, the Board of Community Health Councils, healthcare regulatory bodies, royal colleges, professional bodies and Cymdeithas yr Iaith. This document provides a summary of the consultation responses received.
