Discusses the availability of health services to French‑speaking residents of Ontario after Premier John Robarts announced his intention to institute minority-language services in the province in 1968. The Association Canadienne-Française de l’Ontario (ACFO), reorganized in 1969 from a similar group, lobbied for justice and social and health services for the French-speaking community in Ontario. The ACFO’s efforts led to increased services for the French minority, culminating in the passage of the French Language Services Act in Ontario in 1986.
